Break my Heart for What Breaks Yours

This semester, I’m in a class called Community Nursing. It’s kind of thought of as a class that’s not super important…one of those easy-breezy nursing classes. At first, I wasn’t too thrilled about it. I didn’t see how it would help me in my nursing career. But, I was wrong! God is using this class to touch my heart! He is showing me just how great of a need there is for people who are willing to help others locally and globally. I’ve always had a heart for needy people, especially kids, and I love being able to help people! This is predominately why I chose to pursue a career in nursing: I wanted to help people, especially people who truly need it. I’ve never considered looking for a job as a community health nurse. You don’t get paid as much as you would for a hospital job, and it’s not always as “cool” as far as procedures and stuff goes. Yet, you get to help people that really need it! I’m definitely considering a career as a community health nurse now. I’m also thinking of where I want to go for my first medical mission trip. This class barely showed up on my radar before starting school, but now I’m so excited to see how God uses this class to work in my life! He is truly breaking my heart for what breaks His own heart, and I couldn’t be more thrilled!!!!
